Currently based in Plymouth, UK, Kat Gilbert works to each client's specifications providing inspired design and striking artwork in face and body painting for nightclubs, festivals, corporate events, picnics, parades, indeed any fun filled event you can think of!

Kat is an accredited member of Face the International Face Painting Association. She has been trained to the highest of standards. Kat continually adds to her extensive skills base by attending conferences led by industry stars such as Gary Cole (Snazaroo), Jinny (Mehron),and Oliver Zegers (Fardel).

Only professional makeup, formulated and approved for use on skin is used.

Kat, a fine art graduate, has trained at the world famous Shepperton Studios and the London College of Fashion in makeup and costume techniques for television, film and stage. Since 2000, she has been providing professional face and body artistry for internationally renowned companies in the UK and Canada.

Kat says that: “A driving force behind my interest in face and body painting is my fascination with how society determines appearance. Hopefully my artwork encourages people to view the body in the positive light it deserves.”

The process of ‘Making Up’ has become the subject of a number of short films directed and produced by Kat including a collaborative piece shown at the Wellington Fringe Film Festival, Paramount Theatre, New Zealand, and an exhibition piece ‘Dressed Up Illusions’ shown at the Modern Fuel Gallery, Ontario, Canada.
